Birds of San Diego

Usually when we leave Tucson, we are on our way to Sacramento, and almost always, we'll  stop in San Diego along the way. We love this part of California, and never tire of the natural beauty, wonderful weather, miles of beaches, miles of hiking and biking trails, vegan restaurants, and the ability to find just about anything we need. It’s a perfect place to stop for a spell and regroup for the next phase of our travels. As an introductory post to our one month stay this year (April 2018), here is a collection of San Diego bird photos. These are photos of birds found in our RV Park (Santee Lakes), shore birds seen on a bike ride at Imperial Beach, and a visit to Lake Murray where we saw a mama duck and her ducklings, and an osprey nest at the top of a telephone poll.
