In 2007 Dan and I retired from work, hitched our 5th wheel to our truck, and hit the road. We are full time RV'ers so we take our home with us everywhere we go. We live by the credo "Home Is Where You Park It" and we have found Home in many an awesome setting! I created this blog to track our adventures as we travel around the US, Canada, and Mexico. Two of our goals include visiting all the State Capitals and as many of the Baseball Parks as possible, with everything else we can fit in between!

Forestport, New York
By the end of July we had finished up
everything we wanted to do and see in Lockport, so we loaded up the truck and 5th
wheel, and headed 211 miles east to the town of Forestport. Located in upstate New
York, the northern part of this small town is located in the Adirondack Mountains Park.
Everywhere you turn there are rivers and streams, forests, waterfalls,
hiking trails, and lush gorgeous scenery. During the week we were there we
toured Old Forge, a small tourist town referred to as Adirondack Base Camp, hiked
in Pixley Falls State Park, and found the hidden but impressive Talcottville
Falls off the Sugar River.
