Asheboro, North Carolina

After three very busy weeks in Tennessee, we continued our trek towards Florida, traveling 275 miles from Gatlinburg, Tennessee to Asheboro, North Carolina, arriving on October 18 for a one week stay. There wasn’t any particular reason to stop in Asheboro, other than it being a logical point along the way, so we took advantage of the lull to catch up on laundry, sleep, and household chores. We got in a round of golf, visited a historic covered bridge, accidentally found a very colorful mural along the way, and spent a day at the North Carolina Zoo, which I will post about separately. Just a handful of pictures from Asheboro, below.
